The independent research step focuses on 12 qualifiers, such as:

The most outstanding nominees after the research step will undergo peer evaluation from a Blue Ribbon Panel. Afterward, the remaining top-tier nominees will be triple-checked for eligibility before a final selection is made. When the whole process is completed, no more than 5% of practicing attorneys in each specific region can be named in the annual Super Lawyers® membership listing, making this title one of the most prestigious in the legal world.
